ALIMA is currently inviting applications from qualified candidates to join its humanitarian health programs in Maiduguri, Borno State. ALIMA is a leading international medical NGO providing life-saving healthcare services across crisis-affected communities in Nigeria and beyond.
Available Positions
1. Pharmacy Technician – Maiduguri
Job Type: Full-time
Role Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician will support pharmacy and medical warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, stock management, and availability of medical supplies in line with ALIMA protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage stock levels and ensure accurate inventory records
- Receive, store, and dispatch pharmaceutical supplies
- Monitor storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cold chain)
- Conduct regular stock checks and report anomalies
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and restricted access to pharmacy stores
Requirements:
- Diploma or HND in Pharmacy or related field
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
2. Data Entry Operator – Maiduguri
Job Type: Full-time
Role Overview:
The Data Entry Operator will manage medical data entry and reporting, ensuring accurate and confidential patient information within ALIMA’s database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and update patient and medical data
- Compile and validate data from health facilities
- Perform regular database backups
- Generate reports for the medical team
- Maintain strict data confidentiality
Requirements:
- Diploma in Statistics, Laboratory Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in data entry (NGO experience is an advantage)
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, database tools)
- Knowledge of DHIS, EpiData, or similar systems is a plus
