🔹 Available Positions & Qualifications
1. Policy & State Capability Officer
Role Overview:
Drive AGRA’s government engagement strategy and support the implementation of national agricultural policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead policy implementation and government engagement
- Support agricultural strategy development and execution
- Coordinate public-private partnerships and stakeholder alignment
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, Agriculture, Law, or related field
- Project management certification is an advantage
- Proven experience working with government institutions or policy programs
- Strong understanding of political economy and agricultural systems
- Experience in program implementation and stakeholder coordination
2. Associate Program Officer
Role Overview:
Support program implementation, grant management, and stakeholder engagement to drive agricultural transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage grants and monitor program performance
- Build relationships with partners and stakeholders
- Support policy development and program delivery
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Business Economics, or related field
- Experience in grant management or development programs
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across sectors
- Fluency in English (French is an added advantage)
3. Gender & Safeguarding Officer
Role Overview:
Lead the implementation of AGRA’s gender and safeguarding policies to ensure inclusive and safe program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop gender and safeguarding frameworks
- Conduct risk assessments and policy implementation
- Train staff and partners on safeguarding practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, International Development, or related field
- Strong knowledge of gender and safeguarding policies
- Experience working with NGOs or development organizations
- Excellent facilitation, training, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities
4. In-Country Finance Officer
Role Overview:
Oversee financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and compliance for AGRA’s Nigeria programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial reporting and reconciliations
- Support audits and ensure compliance with financial policies
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and accounting processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an advantage
- Strong experience in financial reporting and auditing
- Proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
