AfCFTA Startup Acceleration Programme 2026
The AfCFTA Secretariat has officially opened applications for the AfCFTA Startup Acceleration Programme 2026, a strategic initiative implemented in partnership with the Korea-Africa Foundation. This programme is designed to support 30 high-potential African startups with the tools, networks, and resources needed to scale their operations into Korea and other global markets.
The initiative aligns with the broader vision of the African Continental Free Trade Area, which seeks to enhance intra-African trade while positioning African businesses competitively on the global stage. By leveraging international partnerships, the programme provides startups with access to new markets, cross-border trade opportunities, and strategic business development support.
The programme specifically targets innovative startups operating in key sectors such as fintech, e-commerce, logistics, agri-tech, manufacturing, and digital platforms. It is particularly suited for businesses that have demonstrated traction in their local markets and are now looking to expand internationally. Selected participants will benefit from tailored mentorship, investor matchmaking, market entry support, and capacity-building sessions designed to strengthen their global competitiveness.
In addition to technical support, participating startups will gain exposure to international investors, industry experts, and policy stakeholders, enabling them to refine their business models and scale sustainably. The programme also aims to foster collaboration between African and Korean ecosystems, creating pathways for long-term partnerships and knowledge exchange.
This opportunity is ideal for founders and entrepreneurs who are ambitious, growth-oriented, and ready to take advantage of the expanding opportunities under AfCFTA. Startups with scalable solutions, strong teams, and a clear vision for cross-border expansion are highly encouraged to apply.
Applications are open until May 24, 2026. Interested and eligible startups can submit their applications through the official link below:
Early application is advised, as this is a highly competitive programme with limited slots available for selected startups across Africa.
