YouthHubAfrica is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2026 Media Internship Program MIP. This initiative is designed to empower young graduates with high demand digital skills, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and professional excellence in the media industry.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Media Internship Program is a capacity building initiative that provides aspiring creatives with intensive hands on training followed by a structured internship placement. The program focuses on equipping participants with practical tools essential for success in today’s digital and corporate media landscape.

TARGET AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION

Applications are invited from individuals interested in the following tracks

1. Photography and Visual Storytelling

2. Videography and Post Production

3. Strategic Social Media Management

4. Creative Content Development

PROGRAM STRUCTURE AND BENEFITS

Selected participants will undergo an intensive one week in person training facilitated by industry experts. Upon successful completion of the training module, participants will be eligible for internship placements to gain real world experience and professional mentorship.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria

1. Academic Status Must be a recent graduate with a demonstrable interest in media.

2. Location This is an in person program. Applicants must be residents of Abuja or able to facilitate their stay in Abuja for the duration of the program.

3. Equipment Applicants must own and have access to a functional laptop for the training and internship.

4. Commitment Applicants must be available to attend the full one week intensive training session.

Training Commencement Dates will be communicated to shortlisted candidates.
