Opportunity for African Journalists: Pitch Your Story and Receive up to $500 in Funding
Are you a journalist based in Africa reporting on child rights or humanitarian issues? The Moving Minds Alliance, through its REACH Network, is calling for story pitches from journalists covering neglected humanitarian crises impacting young children and caregivers.
Eligible African countries include:
Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mali, Central African Republic, Chad, Mozambique, Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, and Sierra Leone.
If you are passionate about shining a light on underreported crises and have lived experience of conflict or displacement, we strongly encourage you to apply.
Successful applicants will receive up to $500 to support the costs of developing their investigative story.
Application Deadline: Wednesday, 30th April 2025
The REACH Network (Reporters for Early Age Children in Humanitarian crisis) is a global initiative of the Moving Minds Alliance. It supports journalists who advocate for improved care for young children in emergencies and conflict settings.
