ELECTION OBSERVER RECRUITMENT 2027 – ALL 36 STATES & FCT

The Public and Private Development Centre (PPDC) invites applications from committed, civic-minded and non-partisan Nigerians to participate in its Technical Election Observation Mission ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

This is an opportunity to contribute to electoral transparency, accountability and credible democratic processes across Nigeria.

DEPLOYMENT COVERAGE

All 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), covering all 774 Local Government Areas.

Observation Period: January – February 2027

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Reside in the Local Government Area where they intend to observe.
• Demonstrate impartiality, integrity and commitment to credible elections.
• Possess good observation, communication and reporting skills.
• Be comfortable using smartphones and digital reporting tools.
• Be available for training and deployment.
• Have no active partisan campaign role that could compromise their neutrality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Selected volunteers will be trained to:

• Monitor electoral procedures and processes.
• Observe BVAS functionality and other electoral technologies.
• Document incidents and assess voter participation and inclusion.
• Evaluate the technical functionality of electoral systems.
• Submit accurate and timely reports using digital tools.
