Position: MEAL Officer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implement monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities in line with project objectives and the organization’s MEAL plan.
2. Collect, consolidate, clean, validate and report project data to ensure accuracy, quality and timely submission.
3. Conduct field monitoring visits, process monitoring, quality assessments and data validation.
4. Support the development and regular updating of monitoring and evaluation tools, guidelines and reporting templates.
5. Train and support project staff, community facilitators, mobilisers, community leaders and beneficiaries on MEAL processes.
6. Prepare monitoring reports, indicator tracking tables and summaries of project results and findings.
7. Maintain monitoring tools, records and data archives, ensuring information is available for reporting and decision-making.
8. Support accountability mechanisms and ensure community members and beneficiaries participate in project monitoring activities.
9. Document lessons learned and contribute to staff training, workshops and institutional learning.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have relevant experience and skills in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning, data collection and management, field monitoring, reporting and the use of MEAL tools.
