Fully Funded Fellowship for Nigerian Professionals and Emerging Practitioners
Are you interested in data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, digital governance, or responsible technology? Applications are open for the TechSocietal Data Protection Leadership Fellowship, an intensive professional programme designed to develop ethical, practical, and people-centred Data Protection Officers in Nigeria.
The Fellowship aims to address the shortage of certified data protection professionals and equip participants with the skills to help organisations protect personal information and manage privacy risks.
WHAT THE FELLOWSHIP COVERS
Selected fellows will receive:
- Full sponsorship for the IIM Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) training.
- Full sponsorship for the IIM CDPO certification examination.
- Five applied data protection modules developed by TechSocietal.
- Mentorship from experienced data protection practitioners.
- Practical case studies based on Nigerian and African contexts.
- Access to a growing professional community of practice.
- An opportunity to join TechSocietal’s Data Protection Support Hub and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTATIONS?
This is a competitive, fully funded professional Fellowship. Applicants must be ready to commit the time and effort required to complete the programme.
Successful fellows will be expected to:
- Attend and actively participate in all mandatory learning sessions.
- Complete the applied modules and practical assignments.
- Sit for the sponsored IIM CDPO certification examination and prepare diligently to pass.
- Join TechSocietal’s Data Protection Support Hub after successful completion and contribute to providing affordable data protection support to SMEs.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
- Sign a Fellowship Commitment Agreement before admission.
