About PUI
Première Urgence Internationale (PUI) is an international humanitarian organization providing emergency assistance to vulnerable populations affected by conflict, natural disasters, marginalization, and economic crises. PUI has operated in Nigeria since 2016, with humanitarian activities in Borno and Katsina States.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services.
- Conduct antenatal and postnatal consultations, including screening and identification of pregnancy-related risks.
- Assist with deliveries in accordance with established clinical protocols and hygiene standards.
- Provide family planning consultations, counselling, and health education.
- Manage obstetric and reproductive health emergencies according to PUI protocols.
- Identify and support survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
- Refer patients requiring specialized medical or mental health care and follow up on their outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records, medical prescriptions, and epidemiological data.
- Monitor the use of medicines and medical supplies and contribute to weekly medical reports.
- Support vaccination, outbreak response, waste management, and other health activities as required.
