Are you a young person living in Kano State and preparing to vote for the first time?
Here is an opportunity to learn about civic rights, voting responsibilities, electoral processes and peaceful democratic participation ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Youth Civic and Voter Education Awareness Programme is designed to equip young people with practical knowledge of civic participation, voting, electoral processes, misinformation, citizens’ rights and responsibilities, and peaceful democratic engagement.
The programme aims to support young people to become informed, confident and responsible participants in Nigeria’s democratic process.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Young people who live in Kano State, particularly first-time voters and those preparing to vote for the first time.
Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Civic rights and responsibilities.
- Voter education and electoral processes.
- The importance of informed electoral participation.
- How to identify and respond to misinformation.
