The organization provides services including staffing, monitoring and evaluation, logistics, facilities management, election monitoring, IT professional services and medical assistance.

JOB OVERVIEW

The successful candidates will support data collection activities under the Displacement Tracking Matrix DTM programme. Data Enumerators will collect and provide accurate information through mobility tracking, registration, flow monitoring points, surveys, assessments and other DTM data collection tools.

The role involves working closely with field teams, partners and relevant stakeholders while following established DTM methodologies, schedules, data protection standards and humanitarian principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collect data using approved DTM methodologies, tools and procedures.
  2. Support relevant partners with data collection activities according to established schedules.
  3. Conduct interviews, registrations, assessments, surveys and other assigned field data collection activities.
  4. Maintain accuracy, integrity, credibility and quality throughout data collection and entry processes.
  5. Monitor field operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality.
  6. Triangulate collected information with relevant partners in accordance with DTM methodology.
  7. Submit collected information promptly to the Team Leader or Project Assistant according to programme standards.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements and humanitarian Do No Harm principles.
  9. Collaborate effectively with DTM partners and field teams to achieve shared objectives.
  10. Respect cultural and individual differences and promote diversity, ethical conduct and professional standards.
  11. Remain flexible and prepared for deployment or redeployment when required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should meet one of the following educational and experience requirements:

  1. Diploma in a relevant discipline with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience.

Additional requirements include:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in data collection.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in the humanitarian field.
  3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in West Africa.
  4. Experience working with humanitarian organisations, NGOs or INGOs is mandatory.
  5. Experience in statistics and humanitarian assistance is an advantage.
  6. Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  7. Good communication and teamwork skills.
  8. Ability to explain instructions clearly and work respectfully with communities.
  9. Ability to exercise sound judgement in challenging field situations.
  10. Ability to deliver accurate, timely and quality results.
  11. Willingness to learn, share knowledge and adapt to changing field requirements.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Fluent English is essential.

Fluency in one or more relevant local languages is essential.

Knowledge of the local context, terrain, language and culture is desirable.
