ABOUT THE ROLE
Working under the authority of the Advisor for Cooperation and Cultural Action, the successful candidate will provide administrative, secretarial and logistical support to the department and contribute to the smooth coordination of its activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative and logistical support to the head of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service.
Maintain links and communication with different departments within the Embassy.
Maintain working relationships with partners of the Cooperation Service.
Prepare and transmit administrative documents for the service.
Provide logistical support for missions, official visits and invitations.
Support the administration and processing of scholarship files.
Provide additional administrative and secretarial support when the administrative secretary is absent.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Training or professional experience in secretarial or administrative functions is desirable.
Previous experience performing secretarial duties within official institutions or similar structures is an advantage.
Candidates should have a good understanding of professional requirements relating to administrative secretarial work.
Applicants should demonstrate excellent organisational skills, accuracy, versatility and attention to detail.
A professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
Candidates must demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Strong knowledge of computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, is required.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Good level of French.
Very good level of English.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must legally reside in Nigeria and have the legal right to work in Nigeria.
WORKING HOURS
38 hours and 30 minutes per week.
5 working days from Monday to Friday.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The position is classified at Level 4 of the salary framework.
Gross salary is €622 per month, paid in Nigerian Naira.
Additional benefits include work accident insurance, medical coverage with one third paid by the employee and two thirds covered by the Embassy, 30 days of annual leave, transportation allowance and a 13th month payment.
