DELIMI RISE PROJECT 2026
Engaging Borders SRD is inviting young people to apply for the Delimi RISE Project, which stands for Resilience, Inclusion, Safety and Empowerment for Women and Youth.
The project is designed to strengthen the meaningful participation, leadership and influence of women and young people in peacebuilding, governance and conflict prevention across selected communities in Kaduna State.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and must be from Igabi, Jema’a or Kaura Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
The project is seeking 60 young women and men, with 20 participants selected from each of the 3 participating Local Government Areas.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Through The Delimi Process, participants will take part in structured learning, facilitated reflection, community engagement and practical action.
The programme will provide participants with knowledge and practical skills in Women, Youth, Peace and Security, peacebuilding, community resilience, digital engagement and advocacy.
Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with other young people working to make their communities safer, more inclusive and more resilient.
Selected participants who perform at the 90th percentile in the Delimi RISE WYPS Learning Programme will be invited to join a growing Community of Practice and may have opportunities to translate their learning into meaningful community level action.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
The programme is looking for young people who are passionate about their communities, interested in peacebuilding and willing to learn, contribute and take action.
Women, persons with disabilities and young people from communities and groups that are often underrepresented in peacebuilding and decision making spaces are particularly encouraged to apply.
