UNDP × Channels TV Creative Media Lab
Incubating the NextGen of Creative Storytellers
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with Channels Television, is inviting applications for the UNDP × Channels TV Creative Media Lab.
The programme is designed to support and incubate the next generation of young Nigerian creatives and storytellers, providing students with an opportunity to develop their creative and media skills while working collaboratively on innovative storytelling projects.
🎓 Who Can Apply?
This call is exclusively open to teams of students enrolled in universities hosting UNIPODs.
Eligible universities are:
- University of Lagos (UNILAG)
- Lagos State University (LASU)
- Nasarawa State University, Keffi
- University of Uyo (UNIUYO)
- Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike
- Benue State University (BSU)
- University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID)
👥 Team Requirement
Although an individual may submit the Expression of Interest, the submission must be made on behalf of a team.
A multidisciplinary team is preferred.
The person submitting the application should ideally serve as the lead applicant and contact person for the team.
🎨 Important Team Requirement
At least one member of the team must be enrolled in Mass Communication, Media, Arts or a related faculty/department within the university.
This means students from different academic backgrounds can come together to form a team, provided the team meets the stated requirements.

The Creative Media Lab is aimed at developing emerging student creatives and storytellers by creating a platform where students can combine different skills, perspectives and disciplines to explore creative media and storytelling.

📌 Eligibility Summary
You should apply if:
✅ You are a student of one of the 7 eligible UNIPOD universities
✅ You are applying as part of a team
✅ Your team preferably has members from different disciplines
✅ At least one team member studies Mass Communication, Media, Arts or a related field
✅ Your team is interested in creative storytelling and media
