💡 About the Role:
The WASH Specialist will report to the Chief of WASH/Manager and play a key role in programme development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The position involves providing technical guidance and ensuring WASH programmes are evidence-based, aligned with national priorities, and deliver measurable impact.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
- Programme development and strategic planning
- Monitoring, evaluation, and results delivery
- Technical and operational support for WASH implementation
- Humanitarian preparedness and emergency response
- Partnership building with government and stakeholders
- Knowledge management, innovation, and capacity development
🎓 Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Sanitary Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in WASH programmes
- Experience in developing countries and humanitarian settings
- Strong expertise in rural/urban sanitation, water supply, hygiene promotion, and WASH systems
- Fluency in English (knowledge of another UN language is an added advantage)

- Programme design, theory of change, and results-based management
- Monitoring & evaluation, donor proposal development
- Knowledge of national WASH policies and strategies
- Gender equality, human rights, and WASH integration
