Programme Overview
The 2026 Graduate Trainee Programme North is designed to recruit and develop young graduates who are passionate about agriculture and rural development. Successful candidates will receive practical field exposure and structured learning while supporting farmers across the northern states of Nigeria. Participants should be ready to work in rural communities and contribute to farmer empowerment and productivity.
Job Location
Northern states of Nigeria with placements across 19 states
Who the Organisation Is Looking For
Applicants must be 25 years old or below as of their last birthday
be fluent in Hausa and familiar with the northern region
have graduated with at least a Second Class Upper Division
must be self motivated and willing to live and work in rural locations
be analytically minded with the ability to learn quickly
be confident and demonstrate leadership potential
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have a minimum of Second Class Upper degree in relevant disciplines from a recognised university
Relevant fields include Agronomy, Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Crop Protection, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering and Soil Science
Applicants must have completed the NYSC programme or be due to complete by March 2026
