The Advancing Peace and Security through Journalism Workshop is now open for applications for its second cohort, offering a valuable learning opportunity for journalists who want to strengthen their professional skills and impact.
This program is supported by the National Endowment for Democracy. It is designed to build journalists’ capacity in technology driven reporting, digital storytelling, and conflict sensitive journalism. Participants will gain practical tools to report more accurately and responsibly in complex and fragile environments. They will do so with a strong focus on peacebuilding, accountability, and public interest journalism.
Through interactive sessions, expert led training, and peer learning, participants will improve their ability to use digital tools for investigations. In addition, they will learn to verify information. They will also understand conflict dynamics, and report ethically on sensitive issues. The workshop also aims to strengthen networks among journalists. These journalists are committed to promoting peace, security, and informed public dialogue in their communities.
