IPSOS Africa recruiting for Data Support Officers
Ipsos Africa Centre for Development Research and Evaluation is currently recruiting for the position of Data Support Officer across all states in Nigeria.
As part of the global Public Affairs division, Ipsos provides high level research and evaluation services to the public sector, international NGOs, and government departments. This specific role focuses on critical development areas such as youth employment, education, maternal and child health, and trade systems.
The Data Support Officer will be responsible for conducting surveys with selected study participants according to approved sampling plans and data collection protocols. Key duties include administering structured questionnaires using digital platforms such as CommCare. They are also responsible for ensuring informed consent is obtained, and conducting professional and neutral interviews. Enumerators must record responses accurately and upload completed surveys in a timely manner. In addition, they must report any fieldwork challenges to their supervisors.
Candidates should be early to mid career field researchers with up to six years of experience in survey data collection or field research. Proficiency in digital data collection tools and the ability to manage intensive fieldwork schedules are essential. Given the target population of the study, applicants between the ages of 18 and 35 are encouraged to apply. Applicants must possess a minimum of a Degree or HND. A core requirement for this position is a clear understanding of safeguarding principles.
