The Climate and Health Equity Fellowship was launched by the Medical Society Consortium on Climate & Health and the National Medical Association, in recognition of the fact that climate change is both a health emergency and a major health equity issue.

The purpose of this fellowship is to increase the number of physician leaders in climate and health equity from racial/ethnic groups that are underrepresented in medicine (URiM)*. Underrepresented in medicine refers to those racial and ethnic populations whose presence in the medical profession is disproportionately low compared to their numbers in the general population.

*as defined by the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Applications are open from July 8th to November 1st at midnight (ET). Please note the deadline is earlier than prior years. Applications will not be reviewed for consideration for an interview until all required materials are received. Fellows may be accepted on a rolling basis.
