The Next Generation Resource Governance Leaders Program (NextGen) is a prestigious internship initiative designed to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application. 🎯 Programme Objectives

The NextGen Program seeks to:

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be young Africans residing in Africa, aged not more than 32 years
• Demonstrate a strong passion for ensuring Africa’s natural resources contribute to sustainable development

Preferred Academic Backgrounds include:

• Economics (including Energy Economics)
• Engineering (Petroleum, Electrical, etc.)
• Oil & Gas Management
• Public Policy
• Law
• Political Economy
• Development Studies / Development Finance
• Project Management
• Communications
• Statistics / Mathematics

🛠️ Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong writing skills with clarity and logical structure
• Knowledge of analytical tools such as R, Stata, EViews, NVivo, Atlas.ti
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
• Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and leadership
