Programme Officer (Plans and Implements) at the Initiative for Research, Innovation and Advocacy in Development (IRIAD)

The Initiative for Research, Innovation and Advocacy in Development (IRIAD) is a not for profit organisation working on elections, governance, peace, security, development and democracy.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Programme Officer (Plans and Implements)
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Responsibilities

Planning: Support planning and strategies to ensure alignment with organizational, programme and projects goals.
Implementation Support: Coordinate and support the execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to objectives, timelines, deadlines, and quality standards.
Reporting: Prepare project reports and documentation on project activities, outcomes, and challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate and maintain communication with stakeholders, including beneficiaries, partners, and funders, to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
Resource Management: Support the management of project resources, including budgeting and procurement, to ensure efficient use of funds and materials.
Capacity Building: Provide support and training to project staff and partners to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
Requirements

Strong knowledge of elections, governance, social justice, rule of law, human rights, GESI, and democracy
Ability to multitask, manage time and resources effectively, with attention to detail and ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment
Strong communication skills and problem-solving capabilities
Proactively identifies and mitigates challenges and risks
Adaptable and flexible to changing needs / requirements
Three years progressive experience in programmes administration and projects implementation and management, including methods and processes
Experience and competency in budget, grants and compliance management
Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
Proven success working with all levels of management of an organization
Demonstrable clear written, visual and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range
N180,000 – N250,000 monthly.
