Background:
The Restoration of Hope Initiative is a Non-Governmental Organization that was founded in 2012 and began operations in 2015 in the areas of education, protection, WASH, and livelihood. ROHI has helped over 700,000 children in the Northeast to have access to inclusive quality education by establishing infrastructure and boosting the capacity of educational institutions since its inception in 2012. ROHI specializes in education programming, as well as developmental programming and humanitarian assistance.
The North East crisis has increased the number of individuals forced to relocate, hampered access to educational opportunities, heightened security concerns, and demanded the provision of life-saving services.
Role Purpose
- The role will also focus in providing strong all round technical support to the program team; support in the development of new program areas, resource mobilization, and support policy work.
- The post holder will be supervised by the Programs Manager and expected to work very closely with other members of the program team, particularly the Project Leads and the Human Resource Officer and Finance and Compliance Manager.
- The purpose of this role is to build better programs and partnerships that advances the rights of the child and gender equality.
- The role therefore will focus on promoting and building effective and fruitful partnerships, recognizing that Restoration of Hope Initiative cannot achieve its purpose and ambition by working alone, but by working in partnership with other groups and organizations – children groups, girls’ groups, adolescent groups, community groups, civil society organizations, government, institutions, the private sector, and others.
