Register for a free place on our next Clinical and Programmatic Management of DR-TB course

The Union is offering scholarships for people to participate in its next Clinical and Programmatic Management of DR-TB course in Taipei in October.

The five-day course is designed for clinicians, staff of national tuberculosis programmes, and technical partners working in tuberculosis care and prevention, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

Places are limited so we recommend you apply now to secure your place on this in-person course, which will will equip you with the latest evidence-based strategies and best practices for managing the complexities of DR-TB.

This course is being organized by The Union in partnership with Wan Fang Hospital, Taipei Medical University and Taiwan Anti-Tuberculosis Association.

When is the course taking place?

It takes place between the 14th and 18th October in Taipei (Taiwan).

What is included in the course?

The course includes access to optional online materials such as on-demand videos and quizzes to better prepare you for the live session, which is focused on the most recent updates, discussions, practical exercises and field visits. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control.

Who can apply for a scholarship?

Due to securing external funding The Union is able to waive the course fees to participants from high MDR-TB burden countries associated to a National TB Programme.

If you are successful in securing a scholarship your course fees (2,000 EUR) will be waived. The scholarship waives the course fees, but participants need to secure funding to cover their travel and accommodation.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

To apply for a scholarship, you will need to complete a registration form and when asked for the sponsor, select the “scholarship” option.

You will need to submit a CV and a letter of support or evidence that you have funding to cover your travel and accommodation to attend the course.
