Position: Government Engagement & Public Policy Manager (Nigeria & West Africa)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, International Relations, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
• 5–7 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, government relations, regulatory affairs, or strategic advisory.
• Demonstrated experience engaging government officials, ministries, regulatory agencies, legislative institutions, and senior public-sector stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Nigeria’s political, policy, and regulatory environment, with knowledge of other West African markets.
• Excellent policy analysis, report writing, communication, negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel across Nigeria and West Africa when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyse political, legislative, and regulatory developments across Nigeria and West Africa.
• Prepare policy briefs, advisory memos, and regulatory risk assessments.
• Build and maintain relationships with government ministries, regulatory agencies, legislative institutions, and regional bodies.
• Advise on government engagement strategies, advocacy, policy reforms, and regulatory risks.
• Represent the organisation at government consultations, policy dialogues, and strategic meetings.
• Identify policy developments and opportunities for research, partnerships, advisory services, and business development.
• Provide actionable recommendations and regular updates on regional developments.
