CREATIVE MINDS CONTEST 2026
The Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy and the Initiative for Self Esteem Education and Advocacy ISEEA, is inviting young Nigerian creatives to participate in the Creative Minds Contest ahead of the National Adolescent and Youth Mental Health Week 2026.
THEME
“Lived Experiences Heard, Real Voices, Real Change”
The contest gives young Nigerians an opportunity to use creativity to challenge stigma, inspire hope and promote constructive conversations around self-esteem and mental health.
ELIGIBLE CATEGORIES
- FILM
Maximum duration: 5 minutes - MUSIC
- SPOKEN WORD
- VISUAL ARTS
Painting, digital illustration, photography and graphic design
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen
- Be between 15 and 35 years old
- Submit original work
- Submit work that has not previously won an award or national competition
- Ensure the entry relates to self-esteem and mental health
- Ensure the work reflects the contest theme
PRIZES
1st Place: ₦200,000
2nd Place: ₦150,000
3rd Place: ₦100,000

DINNER AND AWARDS NIGHT
Date: 23 October 2026
Location: Abuja
Winners will be contacted privately and invited to the Dinner and Awards Night where the prizes will be presented.
