Cudie is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive customer acquisition, farmer activation, transaction growth and field execution across its operating locations.

The successful candidate will play an important role in expanding access to financial services, strengthening relationships with farmers and stakeholders, and driving sustainable business growth across Northern Nigeria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive customer acquisition and farmer activation across assigned locations.
2. Develop and implement strategies to increase transactions and business growth.
3. Lead field execution and ensure effective implementation of business development activities.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agents, communities and other stakeholders.
5. Manage and support distributed field teams to achieve business objectives.
6. Identify new business opportunities and strengthen market presence.
7. Monitor field activities, performance and customer engagement.
8. Support effective operational planning and execution across assigned territories.
9. Use market and field insights to inform business development decisions.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, Development Studies or a related field.
2. At least 3 years of experience in field operations, agent network management, rural distribution, agri-finance, fintech or FMCG.
3. Proven experience managing distributed teams.
4. Strong communication and analytical skills.
5. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
6. Excellent operational planning and field execution abilities.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in business development, customer acquisition, field operations and relationship management, with a passion for driving financial inclusion and empowering farmers.
