POLICY ANALYST AT DIGITA

ABOUT THE ROLE

Digita is seeking a Policy Analyst to conduct research, support policy dialogues, and coordinate transformative programs at the intersection of law, technology, and economic development.

The successful candidate will contribute to research and policy initiatives covering Nigeria and other African jurisdictions, with a focus on digital economy and technology governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct policy research and regulatory analysis covering digital economy, technology governance, Artificial Intelligence, data protection, cybersecurity, fintech, digital public infrastructure, and related areas.

Monitor legislative, regulatory, and policy developments across Nigeria and other African jurisdictions.

Prepare policy briefs, research reports, regulatory updates, concept notes, presentations, and advisory memoranda.

Support the implementation and delivery of policy, advocacy, and advisory projects.

Assist with stakeholder mapping, consultations, workshops, roundtables, and public engagements.

Contribute to thought leadership through articles, newsletters, publications, and knowledge products.

Collect, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to support evidence-based policy recommendations.

Support proposal development, business development initiatives, and partnership opportunities.

Assist with project coordination, documentation, and reporting.

Perform other policy, research, and program-related responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Law, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, International Development, or a related field.

2 to 4 years of relevant experience in policy research, legal research, public policy, regulation, consulting, or development work.

Strong interest in digital policy, technology governance, innovation, or regulatory issues.

Excellent research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and practical policy recommendations.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Experience working with government, development partners, academia, or the private sector is an advantage.
