BudgIT Tracka Community Champions 2026
Call for Applications: Become a Community Champion
BudgIT Tracka is inviting passionate and community-minded citizens across Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT to join its Community Champions initiative.
The programme is designed for individuals who are committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and better governance within their communities. Selected Community Champions will have the opportunity to monitor public projects, document community-level development activities, mobilize citizens, and encourage communities to demand effective delivery of government projects and services.
Community Champions will play an important role in helping citizens understand what government has promised, tracking the implementation of public projects, and drawing attention to gaps between government commitments and what communities actually receive.
The initiative is particularly suitable for individuals who are passionate about good governance, civic participation, community development, public accountability, transparency, and social impact.
Location Nationwide — All States of Nigeria and the FCT
Who Can Apply?
The opportunity is open to passionate citizens who are interested in:
* Community development and civic engagement

Applicants should be willing to actively participate in community-based monitoring and contribute to efforts that promote responsible governance.
Why Become a Community Champion?
By joining the initiative, participants can contribute directly to strengthening citizen participation and ensuring that public resources and government projects deliver meaningful benefits to communities.
Real change begins when citizens become informed, engaged, and willing to hold institutions accountable. Through Tracka’s community-focused approach, Community Champions can help make governance more responsive to the needs of ordinary citizens.
