🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW
The Data Analyst Activity Manager will coordinate and monitor data-related activities, including:
🔹 Data collection, management and quality assurance
🔹 Data analysis and reporting
🔹 Monitoring and evaluation
🔹 Development and maintenance of data collection tools
🔹 Development and implementation of data management SOPs
🔹 Supporting medical and data teams with routine data recording and entry
🔹 Producing dashboards, analytical reports and indicator tracking tools
🔹 Training and coaching data and medical teams
🔹 Supporting data protection and confidentiality
🔹 Supervising and developing data team personnel
💻 COUNTRY-LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will serve as the Nigeria Country Programme focal point for DHIS2 and will have regular visits to Sokoto, NERU and Zamfara projects.
Responsibilities include:
✅ Developing and standardizing data management procedures and reporting workflows.
✅ Supporting project teams with DHIS2 use and dashboard development.
✅ Ensuring data integrity, completeness and confidentiality.
✅ Supporting ODK/Kobo and other digital data systems.
✅ Developing Excel-based tools, tables and charts.
✅ Producing regular and ad-hoc data analysis and dashboards.
✅ Supporting programme planning and performance monitoring.
✅ Conducting field supervision visits.
✅ Supporting medical reporting to relevant government and MSF structures.
✅ Supporting epidemiological surveillance and outbreak monitoring.
🎓 EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics/Biostatistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Health or a related field.
- Certification in data management, database administration or data analytics.
Desirable:
- Degree/Master’s in Epidemiology or Public Health with strong training in statistics and epidemiology.
- Training or specialization in tropical diseases.
💼 EXPERIENCE
Applicants should have:
✅ Minimum 2 years of experience in M&E/Data Management is an asset.
✅ Experience with MSF or other NGOs is an advantage.
✅ Experience in TB, HIV information management or health programme M&E is desirable.
