Updates on FME TVET Trainee Applications Under Review

FME TVET Trainee Applications Under Review

Federal Ministry of Education TVET trainee applications are currently under review. However, there is no official information from programme yet. The Technical and Vocational Education and Training, TVET, initiative has two separate categories, which applicants are urged not to confuse.

The current approval and accreditation process is only for TVET trainers or artisans mentoring trainees. These trainers will receive N30,000 per student. The trainers’ application portal is at www.digitalnbte.nbte.gov.ng.

There is also the TVET programme for trainees, who will be paid N22,500 per month. The official website for this category is www.tvet.education.gov.ng.

The federal government recently approved a N45,000 monthly grant For Technical College students, which will be paid through NELFUND. Take note that that was announced for Technical College students, and not TVET trainees.

For those who applied as trainees under the Federal Ministry of Education, the review process is reportedly ongoing and the trainee portal, although presently inaccessible, does not give full access.

Successful applicants will receive notification messages with the details of their assigned training centers soon.

Applicants are advised to monitor their dashboards for any changes. In cases where the dashboard shows No Application Found or experiences slow loading, this is normal as the review process is ongoing. The ministry urged, “Do not panic. Continue to check regularly for updates.”
