United Nations Recruiting Hausa Language Information Assistants (Multiple Locations)
The United Nations is seeking Hausa Language Information Assistants to support communication and outreach efforts across several states in Nigeria: Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, and Zamfara. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
• Translate UN messages into Hausa.
• Support the production of multimedia content in Hausa for various platforms.
• Produce audio bites of key messages in Hausa.
• Maintain a database of Hausa media partners.
• Disseminate UN content to Hausa language platforms, including social media.
• Monitor the use of Hausa content.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to plan work and manage priorities.
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail for accurate Hausa translation.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, especially in Hausa.
• Strong computer skills (word processing, presentation software, internet).
• Skills in applying communication technologies.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic (preferred).
Salary: \$2000 – \$2500 monthly.
