Job Title: State Program Officer

Location: Sokoto, Zamfara, Kano, Nasarawa, Edo

Job Type: Full-time

Duration: One-year Tenure (Renewable Based on Performance and Funding Availability)

Reports to: Program Manager, CINGROHD HQ, Abuja, Nigeria

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced State Program Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing CINGROHD’s programs in their assigned state, ensuring effective project execution, and maintaining regular communication with HQ and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hybrid Work Implementation (10%):
Perform a combination of remote and field-based work to ensure effective project and program execution. Maintain regular communication with HQ and stakeholders.

2. Network Registration and Engagement (20%):
Register CINGROHD with relevant Health, Agriculture, Education MDAs, political, and governance Networks and TWGs within the first two months of operations and duty. Attend state sectoral monthly and quarterly meetings and submit reports within three days post-meeting with evidence and pictures.

3. Proposal Development and Fundraising (30%):
Collaborate with HQ on proposal writing for sectoral donor funding opportunities. Contribute to other fundraising initiatives and grant applications with your inputs and support per proposal writing.

4. Reporting and Compliance (10%):
Submit a detailed monthly activity report to HQ Abuja before the 2nd of every month. Attend regular weekly virtual meetings with HQ for updates and strategy planning and alignment.

5. Workplan Development and Execution (10%):
Develop and submit a monthly and weekly work plan to HQ within the first two days of each month. Ensure timely execution and documentation of planned activities and submit to line manager in HQ.

6. State Profiling and Analysis (20%):
Conduct an in-depth assessment and develop a comprehensive profile of the state’s Health, Education, Agricultural system, and Governance Structure within the first two months of deployment. Provide recommendations for program interventions based on findings to inform proposal writing to relevant donors.

Qualifications and Experience:

– Education: First degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or related fields.
– Experience: Prior experience in NGO work, community engagement, and proposal writing.
– Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs across multiple sectors.
– Strong networking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
– Proficiency in report writing and data analysis.
– Familiarity with state-level policy frameworks and governance structures.
