Job Title: Technical Assistant (TA) – Micro-plan and Personnel Database Development
Locations: Abuja (FCT), Bauchi, Borno, Kebbi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Oyo, Plateau, and Sokoto

Background:
Malaria Consortium is a leading non-profit organization specializing in the prevention, control, and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases. We are recruiting Technical Assistants (TAs) to support micro-plan and personnel database development in nine states.
Job Purpose:
The Technical Assistant (TA) will support the development of micro-plans and personnel databases at the Local Government Area (LGA) level. The TA will work closely with LGA teams, Ward Focal Persons, traditional leaders, and Officers in Charge (OiCs) of SMC implementing facilities to ensure effective execution of micro-plan development and personnel selection.
Scope of Work:
– Support the development of micro-plans for the 2025 Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) campaign
– Collaborate with LGA teams, Ward Focal Persons, traditional leaders, and OiCs to select personnel for the 2025 SMC campaign
– Verify and upload personnel details using the appropriate tool
– Ensure accountability and quality in personnel selection
– Maintain a positive relationship with state and LGA teams and other partners
– Provide feedback on areas needing correction and submit final reports to the Programme Officer
Deliverables:
– Population and entry of community and health facility-related information on the micro-plan template
– Distribution and retrieval of personnel nomination forms to all LGAs
– Verification and uploads of SMC personnel level information on Kobo Collect or any other tool developed for this purpose
– Follow-up with personnel nomination form correction and feedback on personnel information
– Develop a comprehensive database within the period of assignment
Reporting:
– Submit a narrative report to the respective State SM&E Officers and signed off by the SPMs
Requirements:
– Science, Social Science, or Public Health-related qualification with at least two years’ field experience in a related field
– Fluency in English and local languages (Berom, Afizere, Mwaghavul, Ngas, Ron, Tarok, Goemai, Yoruba/Hausa/Fulani)
– Experience working in drug/commodity supply management, M&E, and logistics
– Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
– Familiarity with Kobo Collect, Survey CTO, and Microsoft Office suite
– Experience in conducting quality supportive supervision and data use
– Previous working experience with Malaria Consortium and in SMC are added advantages
