Solidarités International (SI) is seeking highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our team as Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Interns. This internship program offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the humanitarian sector and contribute to improving access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene for vulnerable communities.
Locations:
• Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria
• Monguno, Borno State, Nigeria
• Ngala, Borno State, Nigeria
• Gusau, Zamfara State, Nigeria
Responsibilities:
• Assist in conducting community needs assessments related to water, sanitation, and hygiene.
• Support the implementation of WASH activities, including hygiene promotion campaigns and construction/rehabilitation of water and sanitation facilities.
• Participate in data collection and analysis to monitor project progress and impact.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations.
• Contribute to community mobilization and sensitization efforts.
• Support the WASH team in other relevant tasks.
Qualifications:
• HND (Higher National Diploma) or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Management, or a related field.
• Strong interest in humanitarian work and WASH issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
