Communications Officer to join our growing team at Social Movement Coaching (SMC). We are offering an initial 6-month consultant contract (with sick and holiday pay provision) – with the potential to extend this. We are seeking a mission-driven, reliable and committed Programme Support and Communications Officer to join our growing team. Key responsibilities:
Programme support:
Provide operational support for the smooth running of SMC programmes, including one-to-one coaching, team coaching and coaching workshops.
Be responsible for keeping clear records on coachee progress (using Airtable).
Meet prospective coachees on Zoom and “onboard” them to the programmes.
Be the operational point of contact for partner organisations.
Respond to queries from coachees, coaches and stakeholders.
Provide tech support for workshops and online meetings.
Contribute to the ongoing design and development of SMC.
Communications:
Collate feedback and testimonials from coachees to help demonstrate the impact of coaching.
Support with external communications, including writing website copy, building SMC’s presence on LinkedIn and drafting other promotional materials.
Support with internal copywriting, including newsletters, funding applications and reports.
Skills/attributes:
Essential:
Strong organisational skills.
Proven record keeping and administrative skills.
Friendly and personable communication style.
Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
Confidence using tech platforms including: G Suite, Airtable, Zoom (or the ability to learn quickly).
Proactive and self starting work ethic.

Ability to speak any of the following languages that we currently offer coaching in: Arabic, French, Spanish or Portuguese.
Workshop design, presentation and delivery skills.
Experience of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning.
Experience of building and managing an online presence on LinkedIn and other media platforms.
Experience of coaching or capacity building amongst activists.
Experience of climate and social justice activism.
Requirements:
Is based within UTC +/- 3 timezone.
No formal education or training is required to apply for this role.
What we offer:
• 6 month consultancy contract (with sick and holiday pay provision) – with the potential to extend it.
• Full time. At SMC, full time is 4 days per week (32 hours) with no reduction in pay. Typically we work Monday – Thursdays.
• Flexible working arrangements.
• Pay: Dayrate based on £35,000 GBP annual salary (or equivalent in your local currency).
