Qualitative and Quantitative Research Associates (2 positions)
Position Overview: We are seeking two detail-oriented researchers to support program evaluation research with real policy impact: one specializing in qualitative methods and one in quantitative methods. These remote positions offer opportunities to work on high-priority public health initiatives while collaborating with a US-based team.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and synthesize research findings
Design evaluation frameworks, including developing research questions and data collection instruments
Coordinate stakeholder meetings and manage external communications
Lead data collection activities (focus groups/interviews for qualitative role; surveys/statistical data collection for quantitative role)
Ensure all research activities adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices
Perform data cleaning, processing, and analysis using appropriate research software
Author detailed evaluation plans, reports, and policy briefs
Develop presentations for academic and policy audiences
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners
Required Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Public Health or related field
1-2 years of experience in research or evaluation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical writing and editing abilities, particularly for scientific or policy audiences
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Role-Specific Requirements:
Qualitative Associate: Proficiency with qualitative analysis software (NVivo, ATLAS.ti, or similar); experience conducting interviews and focus groups
Quantitative Associate: Proficiency with statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, Python, or similar); strong background in statistical methods and survey design
