Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an international humanitarian organization providing medical assistance to populations in distress, is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team for the Sokoto Noma & Emergency Response Project.

Position: Social Worker

Main Purpose:
To carry out social support activities for individual patients/survivors, linking them with relevant support services and communities, in accordance with MSF principles and guidelines. To enhance the social condition of the target population, positively impacting health-related outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants MUST meet the following criteria:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in social science, social communication, nursing science, community health extension work.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in SGBV programming, health promotion, or community engagement, preferably in a humanitarian or development context. Experience in developing and implementing IEC strategies and materials.
• Language: Fluency in English essential. Local language highly desirable.
• Knowledge: Computer literacy (Word, Excel) is essential.
• Competencies: Flexibility, Commitment to MS principles, Teamwork, and Results-oriented.
