Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking two dedicated Health Promoter IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) Officers to join our team for the Sokoto Noma & Emergency Response Project.

Position: Health Promoter IEC Officer (x2)
• Job Type: 1 Year Definite Contract (with possibility of extension)
• Duty Station: Sokoto

Main Objective and Responsibility:
To implement Health Promotion/IEC activities with patients and the local population to raise their knowledge and skills on relevant medical topics.
Accountabilities:
• Inform patients and communities about MSF and the services it provides.
• Deliver information to patients and the community on specific health topics according to medical priorities.
• Implement health education and awareness activities (sessions in schools, churches, community) under the guidance and supervision of the HP Supervisor.
• Assess the impact of activities (with questions, verifications, and behavior observations) under the guidance of the HP Supervisor, and report problems, successes, and constraints.
• Collect information related to specific health and living conditions of the population, particularly to identify the most vulnerable populations to target.
• Report activities, problems, strengths, and constraints to the HP Supervisor.
• Establish and maintain contacts with social partners, including other NGOs and governmental health services, that can provide answers to social problems.
• Keep education and communication areas clean and tidy, and ensure professional materials are available.
• Participate in the creation of any material needed for information, education, and communication activities.
