Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) France is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator Support to join our team in Jahun, Jigawa State.

Position: Project Coordinator Support

Location: Jahun, Jigawa State

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (Renewable)

Main Purpose:

To support the Project Coordinator in coordination tasks, maintain positive relations with local and state networking contacts and authorities, and contribute to context analysis and follow-up to ensure smooth project operations in line with MSF guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  Represent MSF externally to promote the organization’s image and foster positive relationships.

  Monitor and analyze local and state developments, updating the PC regularly and maintaining a contextual database.

  Support exploratory visits and needs assessments.

  Assist the PC in internal and external communications.

  Build and maintain regular contact with local stakeholders.

  Translate and review documents and interpret when required.

  Provide cultural and contextual briefings to new team members.

  Develop strong local networks and stay informed on community dynamics.

  Assist in tracking key project documents.

  Offer insights on community structures in Jigawa.

  Remain available outside regular hours when needed to support urgent matters.

  Carry out additional tasks as delegated by the PC.

Requirements:

  Education: Secondary education level; University Degree desirable.

  Experience: Proven experience working in complex political and humanitarian environments; deep understanding of local culture and Islamic traditions; previous experience in similar jobs in the field of humanitarian aid with MSF or other NGOs; management experience; experience in data collection, reporting, and analysis.

  Languages: English (high level command oral and written); fluent in local languages commonly used across Jigawa State.

  Knowledge: Good computer command; knowledge of and interest in humanitarian issues; in-depth contextual knowledge and analysis skills; high level of knowledge of local culture and customs.

  Competencies: Results and Quality Orientation, Teamwork and Cooperation, Behavioral Flexibility, Commitment to MSF Principles, Stress Management.

Contract:

  208 working hours per month.

Remuneration:

  According to MSF salary scale plus a 13th-month allowance equivalent to 1 month of gross salary.
