The Africa Policy Research Institute (APRI) is pleased to announce the Young Talent Program, offering a valuable opportunity for recent graduates and young professionals to gain hands-on experience in African policy research.

Program Overview:

APRI’s Young Talent Program is a full-time internship designed to provide practical experience at a dynamic think tank working at the intersection of African development, geopolitics, and green transitions.

Key Details:

•  Start Date: September 1, 2025

•  Type: Full-time internship

•  Duration: 3-6 months (based on availability and program needs)

•  Location: Remote or on-site in Berlin or Abuja

•  Application Deadline: Rolling

Key Responsibilities:

•  Support research, writing, data analysis, and editing across program areas.

•  Assist with organizing events, webinars, and policy dialogues.

•  Contribute to online content creation (blogs, infographics, and factsheets).

•  Provide administrative support and assist with internal coordination.

•  Support policy communication and stakeholder engagement.

•  Engage in monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of research impact.

What You Bring:

•  Currently enrolled in a university (for EU-based applicants) or recently graduated (for Africa and other regions).

•  Strong research, writing, and communication skills in English.

•  Reliable, organized, and proactive team player.

•  Interest in African policy issues; knowledge of data analysis or visualization is a plus.

•  Preferred: completed graduate studies or ability to work from Berlin or Abuja.
