Join INTERSOS as field assistant in Borno

PURPOSE

The Field Assistant should provide field activity support and implementation. He should promotes and values participatory approaches throughout the project cycle (identification of beneficiaries, awareness raising and sensitisation, FSL project activities, Pre and Post Activities Monitoring (PDM) as well as monitoring and evaluation under direct supervision of Field Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support in all the FSL activities including Livelihood beneficiary targeting, and general program implementation.
  • Conduct training and sensitisation activities related to the FSL project.
  • Supports the Field Officers in project implementation and ensure activities are completed within timelines.
  • Arrange for the pre and post distribution meeting
  • Carry out project activities information dissemination
  • Support in the protection of beneficiaries right and compliance with INTERSOS standards
  • Manage the GFA activities volunteering workers
  • Actively participate in post distribution monitoring
  • Tracking of new arrivals and registration of new beneficiaries
  • Delivery of key sensitization messages
  • Organises Focus group discussion as necessary
  • Ensure to enhance own capacity building by identifying need to immediate supervisor;
  • Implement other tasks as might be required with relation to the INTERSOS Country Program in Nigeria.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of National Diploma
  • Minimum 1 years of experience from at national level project implementation position in a humanitarian / recovery context;
  • Experience in working in complex and volatile contexts;
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities;
  • Fluency in English, Hausa & Kanuri or Shuwa
  • Capacity to adapt to basic living conditions, patience;
  • Ability to put up with job pressure;
  • Ability to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Work within the framework of IINTERSOS Nigeria’s core values.
  • Act as an ambassador for INTERSOS Nigeria, through professionalism and conduct.
  • Adhere to all INTERSOS policies and procedures both technical and administrational.
  • Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development program.
  • Maintain and care for all equipment issued by INTERSOS Nigeria and for any losses or damages due to negligence you will be liable for repair or replacement
