Join GEPaDC as a GBV Officer and Support Gender Equality in Borno and Zamfara
The Gender Equality, Peace and Development Centre (GEPaDC), a women-led non-profit organization dedicated to promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls, is seeking dedicated GBV Officers for contract positions in Jere, Borno and Zamfara.
As a GBV Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day management of GBV cases, assessing survivor needs, developing action plans, facilitating referrals, and ensuring adherence to GBV standard operating procedures. You will also contribute to data collection, reporting, and coordination with other service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of GBV cases, including identification, documentation, and follow-up.
• Conduct needs assessments for survivors and develop and implement action plans.
• Facilitate referrals to essential services such as health, legal counseling, and shelter.
• Provide direct support and care to vulnerable women and girls, including basic counseling.
• Maintain accurate data and prepare regular reports on cases managed.
• Ensure adherence to the principle of safety and confidentiality of beneficiaries’ data.
• Maintain positive coordination and relationships with other partners.
• Support training for GBV Caseworkers.
• Supervise GBV case workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Protection Officer.
