Position Overview
Yusrah Travel Agency is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ticketing Officer to join our team in Kano. The Ticketing Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the ticketing process, ensuring seamless travel arrangements and exceptional customer service. This role involves advising clients and keeping them informed on travel schedules, ticket reservations, transportation, and visa requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ticketing and Reservations
Process flight, hotel, and other travel bookings using computerized reservation systems.
Issue and reissue tickets, manage cancellations, and adjust itineraries as required.
Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other providers to confirm and resolve reservations.
2. Customer Service
Assist clients with travel-related inquiries, including destinations, itineraries, regulations, and documentation.
Resolve customer complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Provide guidance on travel insurance, visa requirements, and other essential services.
3. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of all bookings, changes, and cancellations.
Prepare and distribute itineraries, invoices, and receipts to clients.
Generate periodic reports on ticketing and reservation activities for management.
4. Compliance and Regulations
Ensure compliance with relevant travel regulations and industry standards.
Stay updated on airline policies, visa requirements, and travel advisories.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ticketing, reservations, or a similar role.
Proficiency in computerized reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
Experience with Umrah and Hajj packages is essential.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Must be resident in or within Tarauni, Kano State.
