Job Title: Messenger at the High Commission of India, Abuja
The High Commission of India in Abuja is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Messenger. The successful candidate will be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the office, indoor/outdoor duties, Dak distribution, official work, and any other tasks as assigned ยน.
*Key Responsibilities:*
– Maintain the office and its surroundings, ensuring cleanliness and organization
– Perform indoor and outdoor duties, including Dak distribution and official work
– Provide support for various tasks and activities as assigned by superiors
– Demonstrate willingness to work beyond regular office hours, including weekends
*Requirements:*
– *Educational Qualification:* Minimum Senior Secondary or Equivalent
– *Desired Qualification:* English typing speed of 35 words per minute and knowledge of drafting official papers
– *Language Proficiency:* Excellent English, both written and spoken
– *Computer Skills:* Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and IT/computer administration, including software and hardware skills
– *Experience:* Prior experience in office work and maintenance of office records and files is preferred
– *Certificates:* Police Clearance Certificate and Health Certificate are mandatory for selection
– *Age:* 21-30 years as of January 1, 2025
– *Nationality & Eligibility:* Nigerian National or person with a long-term employment visa/work permit for Nigeria
*Remuneration Package:*
– Starting salary: USD 465 per month (pay scale ranging from USD 465-1135)
– Gross starting salary, including Cost of Living Allowance: USD 697.50 per month
– 21 working days of annual leave
