The Islamic University was established by Royal Decree No. 11, dated 1381/03/25AH – 1962/9/6CE, and the study began there on Sunday 1381/5/2 AH.
The Islamic University aims to achieve its mission of being an international Saudi
institution, providing Islamic and Arabic sciences and other knowledge to students from all countries of the world, and concerned with academic research
and distinguished community services, with the optimal use of technology, as a contribution to spreading the eternal message of Islam.”
Since its inception (60) years ago, students of knowledge from more than 170 countries have joined the university, and students from more than 140 countries are currently studying there, representing about %85 of its regular students.
It is an academic seat (scholarship admission) for a non-Saudi student residing
outside the Kingdom; to study in higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It is a free seat for students at the undergraduate level (type of study: regular) granted by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to international
students, with many financial benefits, and provision of appropriate services to the university environment
