Global Peace Development (GPD) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in April 2002 and focuses on promoting peace for development in Nigeria. The organization envisions a country where peace and development is enjoyed by all. GPD seek to build peace, gender equality, social justice, and foster democracy and governance at the community, local, state, and national levels.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Logistics Officer
Location: Damaturu, Yobe
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The position holder will be responsible for providing efficient and reliable logistics and driving support to Yobe Team.
  • This includes ensuring adherence to standard driving regulations, vehicle safety procedures, and the Nigerian Highway Code at all times.
  • The Officer will support project teams with transportation needs and assist in both short-term and long-term logistics functions, thereby contributing to the effective delivery of program goals and the broader objectives of the organization.

Required Academic Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of OND / SSCE;
  • Certified professional driving training (preferred)
  • Fluent in English, Hausa and other local languages
  • Proven experience of working with international organizations / Local NGOs
  • Not less than 4 years’ experience in professional driving

Essential Competencies / Skills:

  • Valid driving license
  • Demonstrate defensive driving skills (in town and on direct roads)
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic routine maintenance and vehicle handling skills.
