Global Peace Development (GPD) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in April 2002 and focuses on promoting peace for development in Nigeria. The organization envisions a country where peace and development is enjoyed by all. GPD seek to build peace, gender equality, social justice, and foster democracy and governance at the community, local, state, and national levels

Job Title: LGA Field Enumerator (Across the 17 LGAs)
Location: Yobe
Employment Type: Contract
Slots: 2 Openings per LGA
Position Summary
- Global Peace Development (GPD) is seeking for experienced Field Enumerators with strong knowledge of fieldwork and community dynamics to support ongoing activities across various locations.
- Enumerators will be responsible for collecting accurate data at the community level using structured tools and digital devices.
- The role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, and a deep understanding of the local context. Additionally, enumerators will be expected to submit comprehensive written reports outlining all activities conducted within their assigned Local Government Area (LGA).
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as GPD’s primary field representative to work and collaborate with local stakeholders
- Work closely and directly with community members throughout all assigned activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of activity reports, including photos and community feedback, to the GPD project team.
- Support in capturing environmental data such as land degradation, soil conditions, erosion risks, and water access points.
- Maintain clear, complete, and timely documentation of all field activities.
- Submit daily or weekly reports summarizing progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc/HND in Agricultural Extension, Agronomy, Crop Science, Animal Science, Sociology of development, or related field
- Prior experience in data collection or enumeration.
- Familiarity with the local language and culture in the LGA of application.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Must reside in or be familiar with the preferred LGA.
Workstation:
- Two Enumerator will be assigned per LGA, Candidates should indicate their preferred locations in the application.
