Position Overview

The GBV / Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Officer will provide technical leadership and oversight for integrated SRH and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) programming across MdM’s operational areas. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality SRH services, including care for GBV survivors, in compliance with national and international standards.

The successful candidate will supervise midwives, strengthen referral systems, and collaborate with stakeholders to promote integrated and holistic service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Program Support & Service Integration

– Conduct regular field supervision of clinics and supported health facilities to monitor the quality of SRH services (ANC, PNC, FP) and GBV survivor care, including case management and Clinical Management of Rape (CMR) protocols.

– Ensure strict adherence to MdM’s SRH/GBV guidelines, national protocols, and global standards such as Survivor-Centered Case Management, Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for SRH in crises, and WHO guidelines.

– Strengthen integrated referral pathways for obstetric emergencies, GBV cases, and psychosocial support services.

– Collaborate closely with Technical Advisors and the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) team to ensure comprehensive survivor care.

Clinical Protocols & Quality Assurance

– Monitor compliance with SRH protocols (including GBV, ANC, PNC, FP) and GBV protocols (such as CMR, confidentiality, and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards).

– Identify service delivery gaps and recommend corrective measures to improve quality.

– Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality are upheld in all service areas.

– Oversee the implementation of IPC measures in SRH and GBV service delivery.
