FOURCi (Concern on Climate Change for the Community Initiative) is recruiting in Adamawa

FOURCi (Concern on Climate Change for the Community Initiative) is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Project Officer to support the implementation of a vital community-based project in Adamawa State. This initiative focuses on enhancing the socio-economic recovery and political participation of women and young women through climate-smart agricultural practices, environmental conservation, and gender-responsive peacebuilding.

The ideal candidate should have between 4 to 6 years of experience in implementing development or humanitarian projects, particularly in the areas of climate change, women’s empowerment, disaster risk reduction, or peacebuilding. A strong background in community mobilization, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and reporting is essential. Familiarity with the local context and the ability to communicate in English and at least one local language (such as Hausa, Fulfulde, or Margi) is required.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in communities across Fufore, Michika, Hong, and Yola South LGAs, working with local CSOs, government actors, and grassroots organizations. It also provides room for professional growth, skill development, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of environmentalists, academics, health professionals, agricultural and building experts.

If you’re committed to advancing gender equality, environmental resilience, and community-led peacebuilding efforts in Northeast Nigeria, we encourage you to apply.
