One Acre Fund is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as M&E Field Enumerators. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission by collecting accurate and high-quality data that will inform our programs and drive positive change in the communities we serve. This is a casual contract based on survey needs.

One Acre Fund is a non-profit organization that provides smallholder farmers in Africa with the resources and training they need to increase their yields and improve their livelihoods.
Position Details:

• Job Title: M&E Field Enumerator
• Job Locations: Minna, Lapai, Kwara, and Nasarawa (Nigeria)
• Contract Type: Casual Contract (based on survey needs)
• Application Deadline: Rolling basis
Responsibilities:
As an M&E Field Enumerator, you will be responsible for:
• Conducting surveys and interviews in the field to gather accurate and reliable data.
• Ensuring timely reporting of progress and keeping supervisors updated on your work.
• Supporting the implementation of surveys and questionnaires, ensuring smooth operations.
• Effectively planning tasks to meet daily and weekly targets.
• Actively participating in team briefings and discussions.
• Managing data entry and reporting tasks efficiently.
• Troubleshooting challenges in the field and proposing solutions for process improvement.
• Assisting with other tasks as assigned by your supervisor as part of One Acre Fund’s daily activities.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
• Language Proficiency:
• Minna & Lapai: Fluency in English, Hausa, and Nupe (written and spoken).
• Kwara: Fluency in English, Hausa, and Yoruba (written and spoken).
• Nasarawa: Fluency in English, Hausa, and Eggon/Gwandara (written and spoken).
• Background in Social Sciences, Agriculture, Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience using digital data collection tools (e.g., ODK, CommCare, SurveyCTO, KoboToolbox).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with G-Suite is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in conducting surveys or research, preferably in rural communities.
• Familiarity with the specified states and a willingness to engage with diverse communities.
• Understanding of participatory data collection methods is an advantage.
• Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a desire to learn.
• Flexibility to work outside typical hours when needed.
